Codman Square Farmers Market

Thank you for supporting us as we enter our 17th season!

The Codman Square Farmers Market provides the community with fresh, local, organic produce; added value products from local vendors; education on nutrition; activities in the Codman Square Park and information about the Codman Square community and its stakeholders.

We started the Codman Square Farmers Market in 2008 to help bring healthy food options to Codman Square because the lack of health food options was causing major health inequities including obesity and diabetes type II.

As we enter our 16th season, we keep our market vibrant and strong with food demonstrations, weekly themes and entertainment, family activities, free lunch for children through our partnership with Summer Eats, fitness activities and community building and organizing opportunities. We keep our market accessible and affordable by accepting SNAP and HIP and with coupon benefits through our partnership with the Office of Food Justice. To date, we have distributed more than $200,000 worth of food through this coupon benefit. We have also increased the use of the Codman Square Park and we are leading the capital improvement efforts at this park with the Boston Parks and Recreation Department.  The Codman Square Farmers Market is organized by the Codman Square Neighborhood Council and the BOLD Teens.  For more information, visit codmansquarefarmersmarket.org/

We look forward to seeing you on Saturdays!
