Rafael Barruos

Rafael Barruos was born in the Dominican Republic but has lived in Boston since 1985. He is the Vice President at the Commonwealth Bank, the oldest cooperative bank in Boston, serving the community since 1886. At Commonwealth Bank, he continues the tradition of outstanding service and commitment to customers every day. With over 30 years of banking experience, he continues to show his commitment to helping others with their finances and advancement.

Outside of work, he enjoys playing and watching sports. He also enjoys volunteering with the Greater Four Corners Action Coalition where he works to enhance the livability of the Four Corners community by empowering residents to make their voices heard.  He volunteers at each annual celebration, clean-up, and turkey give-away. He shows up by driving the truck to pick up toys, turkeys and supplies; cooks on the grill; and is always available to lend a helping hand.
