Seth Daniel is currently News Editor for the Dorchester Reporter and has been a professional journalist and photographer for more than 30 years, beginning as an apprentice reporter at the Akron (Ohio) Beacon Journal in the 1990s. Born in rural Missouri, he arrived in Boston in the mid-1990s and has worked since then as a senior reporter, editor, and photographer for more than a dozen community newspapers in Boston neighborhoods and in Revere, Chelsea, Everett, Lynn and Winthrop.
He joined the Dorchester Reporter in 2021. He lives on Athelwold Steet between Codman Sq. and Four Corners with his wife, Wilel, and two daughters, Camryn and Taryn. His third daughter, Angelica, lives nearby on Seaver Street. He also serves as the secretary of the West of Washington Coalition and volunteers as a governing board member at the OW Holmes K-6 Innovation School in Dorchester.
In his spare time he enjoys gardening, youth sports, and hospitality.
