Mason Braxter’s journey has been shaped by a commitment to serving others, developing as a leader, and making a meaningful impact on his community. He has learned the importance of showing up, taking initiative, and being willing to help those around him.
Last summer, he was an elected youth leader at Codman Academy Charter Public School. Through that work, he supported his younger peers in daily tasks, writing about their summer experiences and encouraging them to take advantage of academic and extracurricular opportunities. Additionally, he was selected to support his school’s uniform policies and procedures acting as a role model and advocate for students. Whether Mason is working with others, taking on leadership roles, or participating in community activities, he tries to make a positive impact wherever he can.
Outside of his school community, Mason is an amateur boxer at a community gym in Dorchester. His goal is to become a successful professional boxer and philanthropist. Beyond his achievements in boxing, he hopes to give back to the community and to the people who supported him throughout his journey. He wants to create positive mentorship opportunities for ambitious youth, helping them develop the confidence, discipline, and determination to pursue their own goals and reach their full potential. He hopes to inspire others to not only follow their dreams but to be a mentor in their community as well, leading with empathy and responsibility.
